I am applying for the Senior Data Journalist position at Civic Ledger. Your recent reporting on municipal procurement showed how careful document work can make a technical process legible to the people it affects.

At Boroughline News, I work with reporters to turn public records, budgets, and datasets into stories with clear human stakes. I have built reproducible analysis notebooks and explainers that let readers inspect how we reached our conclusions.

I value collaboration between reporting and data teams. My process starts with the question a story needs to answer, then uses the lightest defensible method to answer it and documents what the evidence cannot show.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your investigations desk and the questions ahead. Thank you for reading.
